## Summary:
These are instructions for installing and configuring Acrobat Reader in order for it to work in tandem with FormPro. Acrobat is used as the main method of viewing and editing Customer data, so it is important to properly configure it during installation.
## Installing Acrobat:
Download the latest **Acrobat Reader DC** installer using the yellow button on this page: https://get.adobe.com/reader/
Run the installer from the downloaded file.
**_TIP_** Make sure you uncheck or skip any of the "freemium" add ons that come as part of the installer. Like McAfee antivirus. You only want the reader itself to be installed.
## Configure Acrobat:
- Under **_Edit > Preferences > Security (Enhanced)_** update the following settings:
- Click "add folder path", and select the "FormPro" folder in your "My Documents" folder to this list. If you do not have a FormPro folder yet in your documents folder, add that folder (case-sensitive "FormPro") to your My Documents folder first.
- Check the box that states "Enable Enhanced Security".
- Make sure the "Enable Protected Mode at Startup" checkbox is NOT checked.
- Under **_Edit > Preferences > JavaScript_** update the following settings:
- Make sure the "Enable Acrobat JavaScript" checkbox is checked.
- Make sure the "Enable Menu Items JavaScript Execution Privileges" checkbox is checked.
- Under **_Edit > Preferences > General_** update the following settings:
- Make sure the "Show online storage when opening files" checkbox is NOT checked.
- Make sure the "Show online storage when saving files" checkbox is NOT checked.
- Under **_Edit > Preferences > Accessibility_** update the following settings:
- Make sure the "Enable assistive technology support" checkbox is NOT checked.
- Save all settings before closing Acrobat.
